Getting Started with AssetOS
Learn how to access and get started with the AssetOS platform.
Overview
AssetOS provides secure access to your asset management workspace. This guide will help you log in, navigate the interface, and understand the basic concepts.
Logging In
First Time Access
- Navigate to AssetOS: Open your web browser and go to
http://localhost:8080 - Login Page: You'll see the AssetOS login screen
- Enter Credentials: Use the username and password provided by your administrator
- Sign In: Click the "Sign In" button to access your workspace
Password Reset
If you've forgotten your password:
- Click "Forgot Password?" on the login page
- Enter your email address
- Check your email for password reset instructions
- Follow the link to create a new password
Magic Link Login
For enhanced security, you can use magic link authentication:
- Enter your email address on the login page
- Click "Send Magic Link"
- Check your email for the secure login link
- Click the link to automatically log in

Once logged in, you'll see the main AssetOS dashboard:

User Account
Profile Settings
Access your profile settings by clicking your name in the top-right corner:

Permissions
Your access level determines what you can do in AssetOS:
- Viewer: Can view and search assets

Security Best Practices
Password Security
